Adrian Woolard
Adrian was a very early adopter of PC technology, starting
with an 8K RAM Commodore PET in 1978 (impressive for a guy who must
still have been in diapers;-) . Having been a succesful
software developer and director of a captive IT services company through the 1980's,
principally serving the Lloyd's of London
insurance market, Adrian moved to the USA and became involved with buy-side companies in
Boston in the early 1990's.
His experience ranges from desktop applications for generation of
Lloyd's "slips", to inventory control systems in the men's fashion
industry, to actuarially based group life proposal systems. Since
concentrating in the buy-side he has been able to apply himself to
numerous challenges presented by the trading desk including:
complete input and output plumbing of CRD Order Management Systems;
development of dashboard software to monitor order status and
interface between CRD and Latent Zero/Fidessa trade compliance
systems; customization of SWIFT and FIX messaging outputs; low level
optimization of SQL code; and numerous Microsoft Excel-based order
loaders. His trading desk support experience includes both Global
Fixed Income and Equity and covers almost all asset classes
including ABS, CDS, Emerging Bonds, TBAs, Equities, Futures and IRS.
His production CRD experience dates from
2006 and CRD Versions 7.1 through 9.1
Adrian lives just far enough from Boston with his wife and 3
children.
